I’ve heard “if we only had a rockstar product manager (or UX designer) then we could…” many times and I’m sorry to say it doesn’t really work that way.
A single person, even an exceptionally talented person, can’t drive change on their own. This is especially true if they are trying to build a product and transform the organization at the same time.
A team can put wins on the board and build momentum. A team can begin to infect an organization with new ways of thinking and working. I’ve been the lead on many change initiatives and I couldn’t have done it without the support of leadership and a team.
So I always recommend that a client forms a team with some of their folks and some of us from 3Pillar. Together they can absolutely transform an organization.
